However, the goddess of hunting and chastity, Artemis, set one condition - not to hunt wild boars.
Once, when the lovers were walking along the seashore, they were attacked by a vile sea monster, Typhon, who always wanted to get Aphrodite. At the behest of the patron saint of the seas, Poseidon, a pair of lovers turned into two frisky fish that rushed into the depths of the sea and deftly hid from the lustful monster.
Since then, the zodiac sign Pisces is represented by two fish that swim in different directions, but still stick together.
But trouble nevertheless overtook Adonis, although he firmly remembered Artemis's order and did not hunt wild boars. By an evil irony of fate, a huge boar killed the young prince, against whom Adonis did not dare to raise his spear.
The inconsolable goddess Aphrodite bitterly mourned the death of her beloved and the almighty gods took pity on her. The supreme god of Olympus Zeus the Thunderer gave the order to Hades to release Adonis from the kingdom of the dead every year so that he could see his beloved. Since then, every time Adonis leaves the kingdom of shadows into the kingdom of light and meets Aphrodite, nature rejoices and spring comes, which is replaced by a hot summer.
