What does the Sun symbolize in the Tarot - card description

The most common image on this card is the sun (foreground). Below we often find a garden in which two naked children are playing. In some decks, instead of children, we will see a boy and a girl.

On the AE Waite * deck card (pictured), we can see a child holding the red flag of life, symbolizing the blood of renewal, while the smiling sun illuminates him, symbolizing achievement. The child rides on a white horse under the anthropomorphic sun against the backdrop of sunflowers.

* A.E. Waite has been a key figure in the development of modern interpretations of the Tarot. However, not all Tarot translators share his methods or views.

Meaning and symbolism - fortune telling

The solar map, like the world, is considered a good omen. In its basic (simple) form, it means happiness, sincere friendship and trust. In the opposite position, the meaning of the card also changes to the opposite - then it means loneliness and rejection.
