Jadeite Jade is a beautiful stone that can be green, orange, black, purple or white. Quality is classified by ratings: high, medium, low. If you are going to buy jade, it is good to know if it is real jade or not.

Only jade jade and jade jade are considered true jade.

The most expensive and sought after jade (Burmese jade: Burmese jade or imperial jade: Chinese jade) usually comes from Myanmar (formerly Burma), but there are also small quantities that come from the mines of Guatemala, Mexico and Russia.

75% of the world's jade comes from mines in British Columbia as jade, and jade can also come from mines in Taiwan, the US, or, to a lesser extent, Australia.

Materials that can imitate jade:

  • Serpentine ("new jade" or "olive jade").
  • Rest.
  • Aventurine quartz.
  • Grossular Garnet ("Transvaal Jade").
  • Chrysoprase ("Australian Jade", native to Queensland, Australia).
  • Colored translucent quartz.
  • Opaque dolomite marble ("Jade Mountain" from Asia, painted in bright colors).

Real jade can be tinted, diluted, treated with polymeric stabilizers. It can be doubled or tripled.

Natural, untreated, subjected to a natural process (plum juice cleaning and polishing with beeswax), without "artificial processing" (for example, treatment with high temperature and high pressure). Therefore, this jade has its own "real" color.

Type B

chemically cleaned to remove impurities by centrifugation to increase clarity, coated with a hard transparent plastic such as a coating. Over time, it becomes unstable and discolors as the polymers break down when exposed to heat or household detergents. However, 100% original jade with 100% natural color remains.

Type C

chemically treated, dyed to improve color. It wears off over time when exposed to bright light, body heat, or household detergents.
