Rysich was used to guard the home. He was depicted on residential buildings and any other buildings. Rysich is an absolute protection from the Dark Forces. Not from the elements or hostile energies of a natural type, or from illnesses and evil eyes of magicians, but from all kinds of manifestations of beings from the World of Darkness. That is, this symbol has a well-defined and unambiguous interpretation. This is a talisman of exceptional power (perhaps even the most powerful of those known today) from one specific enemy - dark entities.
