However, this sign has a second face. Many people think that it is occult character and they call him Cross of Nero (or a goose foot with a broken cross). As the name suggests, this sign begins with Nero, the man who, according to legend, crucified the Apostle Peter upside down. The cross of Nero was supposed to be a symbol of the persecution of Christians, hatred of them, or the fall of Christianity. A.S. LaVley (founder and high priest of the Church of Satan) used this symbol before the black masses and orgies at the Satanic Church of San Francisco.
