Leviathan Cross

The Leviathan Cross, also known as the Satanic Cross, is a variation of the alchemical symbol for sulfur used by alchemists in the Middle Ages. For centuries the smell of sulfur was equated with hell .

It depicts the Lorraine Cross mounted on the infinity symbol.

After Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, included this sign in the Satanic Bible he created, the Leviathan Cross became a permanent element of the symbolism of the followers of Satan. LaVey inscribed a phallic connotation in The Satanic Cross.
