Letter "G"

While Masons cannot claim the entire letter of the alphabet as their own, they quite often use the letter G in their symbolism. The problem is that there is some disagreement about what this actually means.

Some say it's as simple as "God" and "Geometry". Others believe that it represents the word "gnosis" meaning knowledge of spiritual secrets, which is an important component of Freemasonry. Others still believe that the letter G in ancient Hebrew had the number 3, which is often referred to throughout history when talking about God.
