Eye of the Hand

However, there seems to be a widespread belief that the Eye of the Hand symbol is associated with gaining access to the Upper World (Heaven), in other words, a portal. A portal is a magical doorway that connects two distant locations and provides an entry point from one world to another. The "Eye in Hand" symbol is considered to be the representative of the supreme deity and has a solar (and, therefore, the highest kingdom) in origin. To get to the Upper World, the deceased had to travel along the Path of Souls, the Milky Way.
