Crow

The crow has long been associated with death and mourning. Most of his popular interpretations probably come from the poem of the same name by Edgar Allen Poe. The crow in Poe's poem repeats "never again", driving the narrator crazy with its repetition. However, this infamous crow got its dark beginnings even earlier than the 19th century poets. Birds have traditionally carried a lot of symbolism in Christianity. Ravens, in particular, are considered the personification of the devil.
