Aquaaba the most common sculpture used African tribe Ashanti (The dominant ethnic group in modern Ghana. During the Middle Ages, they formed a powerful empire in West Africa.) This sculpture serves fertility talisman and also provides protection for the pregnant woman.

A woman wishing to become pregnant will wear such a doll on herself and take care of it as if it were her real child.
