I Tried NYX Professional Makeup Lip Oil #thisiseeverything - here are my thoughts

My lip collection overflows. Whether matte, cream, gloss, stain or oil, I have them - and in every color available. Call me a lip connoisseur if you like. But with constantly chapped lipsI have to be careful with the products I use. The wrong formula will leave lips flaky and rough for weeks. I lean towards moisturizing lipsticks with beneficial ingredients that keep my lips moisturized not dry. Lately, I've fallen in love with lip oils, a lip gloss hybrid that glistens and nourishes at the same time. That's why when NYX Professional Makeup sent #thisiseverthing lip oil for the purposes of this review, I volunteered to try it. Find my thoughts, go ahead.

My Review of #thisiseeverything Lip Oil by NYX Professional Makeup

There are five shades in the line: transparent, lavender, sky blue, berry and blush. I usually lean towards pinks and peaches when I do my makeup, so I knew I wanted to try a blush shade. Before I put it on my lips, I tested it on my hand to make sure of the consistency. It was very transparent with a slight tint. It could have been worn on its own, but I knew I wanted to wear it over lipstick. Finishing makeup and applying NYX Professional Makeup Shout Loud Satin Lipstick In Chic pink nude, I reached for #thisiseeverything lip oil. When I brought it to my lips, I smelled vanilla and cherry blossoms. The sweet and floral combination smelled like spring.

When I applied the product, I was immediately pleased with its moisturizing consistency. I felt the nourishing properties of almond, rosehip and jojoba oils. Another plus? I liked the texture. It was not sticky, thick or sticky like some other products. Instead, it applied in thin layers, was very silky, and felt great when I rubbed my lips. What's more, the glossy glow made my lips look fuller.

Throughout the day, I found myself reaching for lip oil again and again. By the end of the day, my lips felt pretty good, but I still needed some extra hydration. When it was time for bed, I took the NYX #thisiseverything lip butter in Sheer, a sheer shade, and packed it in multiple layers. It felt thick so I probably wouldn't wear it that much during the day, but at night it was ok. I left my impromptu lip mask on overnight. In the morning, I was in awe of how hydrated my lips were—no cracking or dryness. I'm a pretty big fan of NYX #thisiseeverything lip butter. And the best part is that it only costs $6 (manufacturer's suggested retail price) at the pharmacy. I don't think it gets any better than this.
