I tried Vichy LiftActiv Peptide C sunscreen - here are my thoughts

As the editor of Skincare.com by L'Oreal, I can confidently say that my skin care routine extensive - I'm a maximalist, if you like. From my cleansing and topical acne treatments to my many layers of serums (all applied properly, of course!), My regimen is long. However, lately I've been on the lookout a product that can do double duty and help me reduce the amount of products I use daily. When I received the free sample Sunscreen Vichy LiftActiv Peptide-C from the brand and found out that it doubles as an anti-aging moisturizer and sunscreen, I had to try it. Find out what I think (and if it helped me minimize my skin care routine) beforehand.

My thoughts on Vichy LiftActiv Peptide-C SPF 30 Sunscreen

I'm pretty picky when it comes to sunscreen and moisturizer. From a sunscreen, I expect protection from UVA and UVB rays, SPF 15 - at least - lightness and, most importantly, pleasant to wear under makeup. As far as my morning moisturizer goes, I love a product that provides hydration, smoothes the skin, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin (you could say I have pretty high standards). On paper, Vichy LiftActiv Peptide-C sunscreen fits the bill. This duo of sunscreen and moisturizer not only helps me take my mind off my daily skincare routine, but also contains anti-aging ingredients, antioxidants and peptides. But will it be as good on my skin as it seems? I decided to find out.

The first thought I had when I tried this product was that I liked the dispenser. I have a tendency to use too much product, so the fact that I had a pump cap was a big plus in my book. One or two pumps are enough to cover the entire face. After completing the rest of my skin care routine, I pumped out some sunscreen. It felt like a light moisturizer but still gave my skin enough hydration and protection. I noticed a floral scent, but it was more refreshing than overbearing. I applied the product to my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead and it absorbed very quickly. What's more, it didn't release any of the skin care products I put on prior to taking the pills, and it didn't leave any visible white residue. Plus, it moisturizes. The wet sheen it left on my skin was another bonus. She put on makeup and went about her business. By evening, my skin still felt hydrated.

I continued to use this product as a dual purpose sunscreen and moisturizer for about two months when I really started noticing the effects of the vitamin C anti-aging formula. My skin is very sensitive to vitamin C, but I'm happy to report that I didn't have skin irritation while using this product. My complexion is brighter and the dark spots from old acne scars are less noticeable. Moreover, the product met all my criteria for a moisturizer. It was really hydrating and even made my skin look firm and plump over time. You can consider me impressed. While I don't plan on cutting back on my daily serums, using this anti-aging moisturizer and XNUMX-in-XNUMX sunscreen is a win for me.
