I pampered myself with eyelash serum every day for a month and got so much more than just healthy lashes.

Fun fact: I am obsessed with eyelashes. My Shu Uemura eyelash curler is one of my most valuable acquisitions, and mascara is by far my number one cosmetics today. On the rare occasion that I find myself stranded on a desert island, this is the only thing I will have with me. But when it comes to self care, I can't say that I have too many ways to take care of my lashes to make sure they are healthy. Somehow the treatment of my skin happens more naturally thanks to sheet mask и lip masks and, perhaps, jade rolling session or two. To be honest, until recently, it never even crossed my mind to do something nice for my eyelashes.

For some background, I started using this serum as soon as my lash extensions reached the end of their (unfortunately short) lifespan. If you were down eyelash extension route earlier, you understand the sadness that comes with these last weeks as you desperately try to hold on to them longer. Looking in the mirror, naked and sleepy, examining my eyelashes like a surgeon standing over a body, I realized that I needed to start caring for my eyelashes the same way I cared for my skin. No amount of mascara or extensions will give me the healthy, natural looking lashes I've been dreaming of. Besides, I reasoned, if I didn’t do something, my eyelashes would fall out even more often than they did now!

The night I saw my lashes, I removed the last of my lash extensions and applied new ones. L'Oréal Paris Lash Serum Solution Eyelash Serum, which accidentally hit my desk just a few days before. The product is housed in a sleek white tube with a soft brush that swivels and applies in 15 seconds, maybe less if you're in a hurry. I twisted the end of the serum to distribute the product and ran it along my upper lash line just like I do with liquid eyeliner. After that, I gently applied it directly to the lashes, and then, as usual, continued with the rest of my skin care routine.

It's been a month and I'm still using the product. My lashes do seem stronger, softer, and healthier, but perhaps more importantly, using the lash serum has actually become a little nighttime ritual that I look forward to—another little way to heal and take care of myself and my lashes. I know many people who apply eyelash serum in the morning, before makeup. But for me, there is something special about taking care of myself in the evening, which I enjoy. When I wake up in the morning, I feel like the best version of me before makeup (if it's the day) and that's the best thing I could ever ask for.

These self-care habits are a way to unwind at the end of a long day, and I've really learned to look forward to it. Just like I put on mascara to add volume to my lashes, or bright lipstick for more daring, I put more effort into taking care of what's underneath, and I encourage you to do the same. also.
