You have never seen such a relaxing night skin care

Like most beauty editors and skincare fanatics, I night skin care very, very seriously. I have my own kind creams, gels and serums which I use religiously every night before bed and rarely skip a step—that is, other than exfoliation, which should only be done once or twice a week (more on that later).

Now I admit my skin care routine a little more involved than the average person. Instead of fast three-step processI like to follow the seven- (sometimes even eight-) steps to secure myself a complete home spa treatment. I believe it's time to relax and rest at night. I'm ahead share my daily ritual for perfect night skin care. Consider this video your daily dose of ASMR. I know that.

STEP 1: Cleansing

The first step to any good skin care routine, morning or evening, is cleansing. At night, it is important to remove makeup and any dirt from the surface of the skin. I put on a decent amount of makeup every day, so I never go to bed without washing my face first. A mild cleanser that removes make-up and leaves skin soft and supple. IT Cosmetics Detergent Confidence.

To remove any residue of mascara, eyeliner, or other waterproof makeup products, I use a quick swipe Garnier SkinActive Water Rose Micellar Cleansing Water

STEP 2: Exfoliate

Exfoliating is an important step, but it's important not to overdo it. Removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin helps reveal a brighter, smoother, and overall more radiant complexion. I exfoliate twice a week with a gentle physical scrub, like Scrub to remove blackheads AcneFree. The salicylic acid in the formula helps unclog pores and prevent breakouts.

STEP 3: Mask

Do you disguise yourself every night? Not very practical. Once or twice a week? Much more doable. Depending on how my skin feels—dry, congested, sensitive, dull—I choose a face mask to relax and pamper myself with a little extra pampering. Lancôme Rose Sorbet Cyro-Mask Helps revitalize dull skin and shrinks pores for smoother skin.

STEP 4: Serum

Serums are a great way to address any skin care needs or concerns you may have. This includes dryness (my common ailment), dark spots, aging, and more. One of my favorites is L'Oréal Paris Revitalift 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The drugstore version feels luxurious on your skin and provides deep hydration.

STEP 5: Eye Cream

I use eye cream in the morning and evening to brighten the skin under my eyes and hydrate the delicate skin in that area. One that feels satin-smooth on the skin and leaves a nice healthy glow is Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream. This little jar makes a big difference and is a must in my daily routine.

STEP 6: Facial Spray

As an added treat for my skin, I love a good facial spray. I keep one on my desk, on my nightstand, in my travel bag and so on. Thermal water La Roche-Posay Intensely hydrates skin in one spray for an instant refresh.

STEP 7: Night cream

And finally, the night cream. It's like the cherry on top of the whole routine. Night creams provide deep hydration and can help with other skin concerns. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa softens and soothes the skin thanks to a combination of mineralizing water and hyaluronic acid.
