Here's what our editors think of L'Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion

Working as a beauty editor gives me a different perspective on makeup. My interest in skin care combined with general love for beauty means I'm always on the lookout makeup products that offer skin care benefits - exactly where L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion The brand sent me a free sample to try and review, and I'm sharing all of our thoughts with you in advance.  

By now, you should be familiar with how popular highlighting products have become. They come in different formscreams, liquids and powders, to name a few) and colors, and they all do the same thing: give the skin a glow. But what if you want more from your makeup? Enter: True Match Lumi Glotion format.

I love the concept of this product because you can't beat moisturizing and brightening, especially when they're delivered at the same time - by the same product. Of course, it's not just the glow that I would like. I was particularly struck by the fresh and healthy look that Glotion gives to my skin. When applied, the product instructions recommend spotting and blending, which means achieving radiance couldn't be much easier.  

I started my test by deciding which look I want to achieve, between full lighting or just certain features. Then I chose the shade that best suited my needs (there are four of them, from light to dark). To achieve full radiance, I used the lightest shade (lighter than my skin tone) and applied Glotion to the high points of the face. To get it tanned look, you can apply a shade that is darker than your skin tone for a beautiful bronzed effect. To use as a highlighter, apply a shade lighter than your skin tone to key points on your face. I found that the instructions on the bottle were correct - best to spot and then blend the formula onto the forehead, Cupid's bow, chin and cheekbones. I then used the darkest shade as an outline color on the temples, cheek contours and along the jaw line for a sculpted effect.

After testing it on myself, I am convinced that Lumi Glotion should be the start of your daily makeup routine or the start of your no-make-up day. I can't get enough of wearing it alone these days and I think you'll love it too.
