5 Step Evening Skin Care You Must Try

Forget what your friends who love 10 skincare steps say. Finding a skin care routine that delivers great results doesn't have to be difficult. In fact, you can cut your routine down to five easy steps. (Hey, lazy girls?) Read on for a 5-step skincare routine using some of our favorite Lancome products. A faster evening routine means less time in front of the sink and more time to nap.

Step One: Remove eye and lip makeup

The first step in the evening skin care of a person using cosmetics should be the removal of any eye makeup. The last thing we want is for you to aggressively scrub and tug at the delicate skin around your eyes, so be sure to grab a powerful yet gentle eye makeup remover like Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye for this job. Makeup remover. This beloved formula uses dual-phase technology to remove even stubborn eye make-up, leaving skin fresh and hydrated. What else? Bi-Facil Eyes can even be used on lips to remove stubborn lipsticks and glosses.

Step two: remove makeup from the face

So, you have completely removed all eye makeup and long-wear lipstick ... now what? Remove makeup from the rest of your face, but of course! This is where the Lancome Bi-Facil Face comes to the rescue. Like Bi-Facil Eyes, Bi-Facil Face uses two-phase technology to dissolve facial makeup. Bi-Facil Face is ideal for applying long-wear foundation, bronzer, blush, highlighter and more. The unique oil and micellar water formula gently removes makeup that should never – we repeat: never – stay in bed with you. To use, simply soak a cotton pad with the formula and smooth the contours of the face until the pad is clean. You don't even need to rinse! Feel free to use a cleanser (more on that below) or start toning your face right away.

Step Three: Cleanse Your Skin

Bi-Facil Face can be used alone for makeup removal and skin cleansing, but why not go further and provide a thoroughly cleansed complexion? Lancome's new Miel-en-Mousse Cleanser is a 2-in-1 facial cleanser that initially has a honey texture but becomes a mousse when emulsified with water. Not only can you expect an unforgettable cleansing experience, but a thoroughly cleansed complexion freed from makeup, oil and other impurities.

To use, apply two to three pumps of Miel-en-Mousse Cleanser to fingertips. Massage into dry skin until entire face is covered with product. Then add lukewarm water to the mixture - this will turn the honey-like texture into a velvety lather - and rinse well.

Step four: tone your skin

After cleansing, tone! If you're not already using toners, here are a few reasons why you should: Toner can help remove any remaining impurities from the surface of your skin that your cleanser may have missed, as well as help balance your skin's pH levels after cleansing. What's not to love? Try Lancome Tonique Comfort, a soothing and hydrating acacia honey toner perfect for dry skin. To use, moisten a cotton pad with Tonique Comfort and swipe it over the skin after cleansing.

Lancome Tonique Comfort MSRP $26.00.

Step Five: Moisturize Your Skin

You have reached the finish line! Before going to bed, apply a moisturizing night cream, such as Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Night Cream. This highly effective night moisturizer hydrates skin for soft, smooth, healthy-looking skin.

Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Night Cream MSRP $52.00.
