The Youth To The People Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial is my secret to smooth skin

Even though I test countless skincare products as part of my line of work, it's rare that I find something I don't want to do without, especially in the exfoliating category. But when I got Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial from Youth To The People, it quickly became one of the products I should always have in my skincare.

To learn more about this exfoliating treatment mask and why I found it to really excel in the skincare market, keep reading.

What you need to know about Yerba Mate Resurfacing

When I first got my hands on this product, I wasn't entirely sure what category of skincare it fell into or where it would fit into my skincare routine, but a quick scan of the website filled me with information. The brand rates it as two. - A XNUMX-minute dual-action facial treatment, so it's essentially like a quick exfoliating facial mask. They recommend using it one to three times a week.

As for what it promises to do, it's all about exfoliating the skin to bring out a smooth, vibrant complexion through both chemical and physical exfoliation. Fruit-derived enzymes break down dead skin cells, while micro-exfoliants from bamboo and diatomaceous earth (silica) physically remove them. The formula also contains yerba mate extract, derived from high caffeine tea, as well as aloe for its soothing properties.

My Experience with Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial

By comparison, I have oily skin and my problem areas are my chin, sides and corners of my nose where I have enlarged pores and unwanted texture. Because of this, I'm looking for exfoliating treatments that help clear my skin of excess oil and smoothen its texture.

Starting with clean, damp skin, I scooped a penny-sized amount of product onto my fingers and began massaging it evenly over my face. I immediately noticed that the texture resembled very fine wet sand. I felt the micro-exfoliating particles physically polish my skin, and while they were more abrasive than many of the physical exfoliators I've tried recently, they didn't hurt because the particles weren't rough. In fact, while I love chemical exfoliation treatments because I don't always want or need a physical scrub, I was incredibly pleased to feel this product in action. Because the formula is quite thick and the physical exfoliating particles are evenly distributed throughout my face, it thoroughly exfoliates every area of my face.

After it spread evenly over my skin, I left it on for two minutes according to the directions on the package. When it dried, I saw that the particles became lighter, and then I knew it was time to wash it off. I washed it off with lukewarm water and immediately noticed how smooth and radiant my complexion became. My excess sebum was nowhere to be seen and the rough texture of the skin around my nose and chin was greatly reduced.

Since then I have used this remedy about 10 times and I really like it when my skin looks dull or needs a quick refresh. It's also a great pre-event product because it can help your makeup go on smoothly (just make sure you never try any product for the first time). For me, this is an essential item and I don't see anything taking its place anytime soon.
