Blackheads are the perfect remedy for getting rid of flaky skin. Those annoying little black dots caused by pores clogged with excess sebum, dirt and dead skin cellsCan clog the surface of the skin and can make a radiant complexion look rough, dirty and dull. Luckily, they are pretty easy to deal with. Below is how to fight a good blackhead fight. Hint: don't squeeze... ever.

GENTLE CLEANSING AND EXFOLIATION

Apply a small amount to damp face and neck twice daily, then rinse thoroughly with water. Just make sure you only use as directed, as salicylic acid can be drying. Exfoliating every week is also important to keep your pores clear.; choose an exfoliator designed for your skin type and use it as tolerated.

TRY THE CLEANSING BRUSH

In a black dot battle, there's nothing wrong with calling in reinforcements. Clarisonic Mia 2 cleans six times better than hands alone, so it's a good tool for your team. It is safe for all skin types, available in two speeds - delicate for fragile skin and all-purpose for normal skin - and helps to loosen and remove dirt and oil from the surface of the skin.

USE A GLOSS MASK

Clay cleansing masks can help absorb excess sebum, which can lead to clogged pores. Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing MaskContains Amazonian White Clay to help gently draw out sebum, dirt and toxins that can increase the appearance of pores и make skin dull. Apply a thin layer to damp, clean skin and let dry for approximately 10 minutes. Remove with a warm damp towel and gently pat dry. It is recommended to use once or twice a week.

CHOOSE NON-COMEDOGENIC FORMULA

To deal with and avoid blackheads, you must first keep your pores clean. Period. Cosmetics and skin care products that are comedogenic can be bad news for your pores. Whenever possible, use products formulated for your skin type that do not clog pores (“non-comedogenic”) and do not contain irritating ingredients. Also, refrain from squeezing and crushing blackheads with your hands. You can introduce additional bacteria and germs into your pores and cause more damage. If you're having trouble removing blackheads at home, see an esthetician or dermatologist who can suggest other options, including regular facials and microdermabrasion.
