This DIY Recipe Requires Just Three Ingredients: Brown Sugar, Coconut oil, and honey. Sugar has a bad rap when it comes to the waist, but it works great as an exfoliator in this recipe. The iconic favorite coconut oil is rich and nourishing, while honey, a natural humectant, draws moisture to the skin. Ingredients

Tablespoons 2 brown sugar

1 tablespoon coconut oil 

1 tablespoon honey, raw and organic if possible 

DIRECTIONS

In a bowl, mix coconut oil and honey. Then add brown sugar and stir until it completely turns into a paste. Adjust the sugar to base ratio - more sugar for a coarser texture, more coconut oil for a smoother texture - to achieve your desired consistency. Transfer the lip scrub to a glass container (do not forget to include the date!) with a lid and store in the refrigerator.

Allow the scrub to warm to room temperature before use. Apply a generous amount of scrub to lips in a circular motion. Leave for a few minutes and then gently remove with a warm washcloth. Apply your favorite moisturizing lip treatment to add hydration and smoothness.
