The Biggest Pre-Wedding Skincare Mistakes You Should Avoid

It's a fact: every future bride or groom wants to look their best for their wedding day. During testing new skin care or treatment as Chemical peeling before the big day seems enticing, things can go wrong. To find out what skin care mistakes to avoid before your wedding and how to properly prepare, we consulted with Celeste Rodriguez, famous medical cosmetologist. Read her advice.

Don't try anything new

While it may seem like a good idea to make some changes to your daily routine to optimize your results, we can assure you that before a big event like a wedding, it's best to stick to a proven routine. Rodriguez recommends avoiding products you've never used before, especially if they contain active ingredients, because you never know how your skin might react to ingredients you've never tried.

Don't get treated too close to the event

“I would advise not to do anything aggressive or edgy right before it; you just never know how your skin will react,” says Rodriguez. Make a game plan with your dermatologist or esthetician in advance. Depending on the procedure, you should start one year to six months before your wedding.

Don't change skin care providers

One of the biggest mistakes Rodriguez has made is that brides and grooms change their dermatologist or beautician before getting married. If you're just getting started with it, Rodriguez recommends working with a supplier three to six months before your wedding so they know how your skin will handle the treatments.
