The right way to clean your makeup sponge

Dirty makeup brushes и makeup sponges often don't think criminals are wreaking havoc on your skin. If not cleaned properly or frequently, these tools can become a breeding ground for dirt and bacteria and can have a serious negative impact on your skin and makeup application - hell. To help you get rid of all the grime and grime that may be living in your sponge and achieve makeup without irritation, blemishes or clogged pores, read this helpful step-by-step guide that will show you correctly how to clean makeup sponges, including tips on how often to clean and replace them.

How often should you clean your makeup sponge?

In an ideal world, you should clean your makeup sponge at least once a week to get rid of buildup, bacteria, or any other debris that might be lurking on or inside your makeup sponge. This helps ensure that none of these clogged pore culprits end up on your complexion during your daily makeup application. Also, clean your sponge weekly if you want it to last longer. Over time, buildup of product on your sponge can make it difficult to apply makeup evenly and can cause the sponge to look and feel, you know, pretty rough. To ensure its longevity, take a weekly sponge bath, or more often if you feel like it's getting very dirty from daily makeup. It is also important to note that you should change your makeup sponges every two to three months. If you need a replacement, we offer to provide L'Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Sponges try.

How to clean a makeup sponge

STEP 1: Rinse the mixing sponge with warm water.

To start, simply rinse your dirty makeup sponge under warm water and wring it out. To make the second step a little easier, try to remove as much of the product as possible in this step. The more you rinse and wring out, the easier it will be to clean afterwards. You want your water to be as clean as possible after squeezing. STEP 2: Lather with Makeup Brush Cleanser

After you have rinsed your makeup sponge well, pour some NYX Professional Makeup Brush Cleaner into a small bowl and submerge the sponge. Massage the solution into the sponge, and then continue rinsing and wringing under warm water until the excess water runs clear. You may need to repeat this step a few times, so don't be afraid to reapply your brush cleaner until your sponge is completely clean.

STEP 3: Let the makeup sponge dry

To dry your makeup sponge completely, place it on a paper towel in an open space. Don't put a wet or damp sponge back in your makeup bag or in an enclosed space as this can become an open area for bacteria due to lack of proper ventilation.

STEP 4: Properly Store Your Blending Sponge

After cleaning the sponge (and waiting for it to fully dry), you might want to consider storing it separately from cosmetics in your cosmetic bag. If you don't sanitize them rigorously, the germs and bacteria that can live on the outside of food packaging - simply caused by handling them throughout the day - can get on your sponge and ruin all your hard work. We offer either to receive makeup sponge case or by investing in cute makeup sponge holder to give him his own private space on your dressing table, protected from any germs.
