Meet Tacha and the $79 Serum She Can't Live Without

#SkinCrush delves into the routine of people who love skincare (almost) as much as we do. Our latest love, Tacha, is a skincare-loving content creator who is part-time admin at a tech company and has (perhaps) the most glowing skin we've ever seen. Her holistic approach to beauty and wellness, and her openness about her path to clear skin, is one of the many reasons we're crushing. Check out her skincare routines, favorite foods, and the questions she gets most often:

What type of skin do you have?

Oily/prone to acne.

You have been very candid in your skin journey. How did you become so confident in your skin and what did it mean to you to share your struggles?

It took me a long time to work up even the slightest bit of courage to share my skin concerns. I have struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation since high school and this has been one of my biggest concerns. It was solitary to look around and feel like everyone I knew had great skin except me. Even I still have my ups and downs, but the revelation was truly liberating and I knew that if I could make just one person feel more confident or know they were not alone, I would be happy. It's kind of crazy because these things are so common, but when we deal with them, we feel so alone.

What is your current skin care regimen?

In the morning I do everything quite simply: I could use Water @mygoodeskin for $200 as a toner or just wash your face with water, moisturize with oil and apply La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin Oil-Free Sunscreen SPF 60. At night, I alternated Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizing Cleansing Gel and Farmacy's Clean Bee Ultra-Mild Facial Cleanser. Then I tone, maybe put on a face mask or an exfoliating treatment, and then apply a serum, like Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate and a moisturizer CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.

What would you like to know first about skin care?

I wish I could understand that using a ton of aggressive acne products is not necessarily the right way to go. Sometimes we end up putting even more stress on our skin by doing too much.

What is your greatest skincare pleasure?

Serum Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance. It's really expensive ($79) and leaves a sticky feeling after application, but it does wonders for evening out the complexion.

What are your favorite accounts to follow on 'gram?

I love love love @hannahbronfman и @sophiaroe! They both take a holistic approach to beauty, which is why I'm here.

What's the last skin care product you finished and would buy again?

It would be Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, And yes, I already have! I should always have it in stock - it's non-negotiable!

The skincare ingredient you can't get enough of?

Hyaluronic acid! I have found that when my skin is hydrated, it sleeps less, so I am constantly absorbing moisture at every step of my routine.

What is the most frequently asked question in your private messages?

How to get rid of hyperpigmentation?

What do you like most about skin care?

It's therapeutic! Those few minutes you spend caring for your skin can do wonders for how you feel.
