Meet Enrico Frezza, Founder of Peace Out Skincare, who is changing the acne game, one patch at a time

Skin Care Peace Out founder Henry Frezza combined technology and skincare products to create a line of skincare products that can be posted on Instagram. acne patches the night before dots like stickers that aim dark spots and stupidity. The brand has also created skin positive community it changes the conversation about acne. Here we chat with Frezza about how he has evolved the brand to what exciting leather innovations are in the works.

You haven't always been in the field of skin care. What led you to create Peace Out?

I started working for my family's intelligence company doing cybersecurity. I have always had severe acne and couldn't find an overnight acne treatment that actually worked. Peace Out was born out of my need to develop effective acne products and my deep desire to create an inclusive brand that empowers people to feel safe and empowered.

I figured it out Peace Out Acne Healing Dots as a first of its kind solution. This revolutionized the acne industry, which was more focused on hiding acne than effectively treating it. This introduced the consumer to the first acne treatment point made from premium hydrocolloid and anti-acne active ingredients.

Today and every day, Peace Out's mission is really simple: we want to create good, clean, effective, and fun products that help protect our customers and their skin.

Why was it so important for you to create a community for your clients?

I had no one to really talk to about my acne experience as a teenager. I created the Peace Out skincare line around inclusivity and a positive attitude towards the skin. We are a brand our clients can count on to be honest and by their side, and a brand that proves that skin care can be fun without being scary.

What has been your biggest challenge since launching the Peace Out skincare line?

I like to use the term adventure instead of challenge. The incredible response to the brand and our products from our amazing community since launch has kept us going at full speed. It has already been such an incredible journey, from expanding our global partnership with Sephora to growing our team from four people to 20+ people in a year.

Wearing protective face masks has led to a whole new fight against acne. How is Peace Out Skincare helping people struggling with mask-related breakouts right now?

We immediately learned from our work with first responders and our team that masking was a real problem. We started talking to our community about how to protect ourselves and what products we offer to combat this. We launched a maskne kit MVP Muskne, which sold out within two weeks of launch, and we showed customers how to use our masked products on our social media.

How do you decide what's next for the brand?

I'm obsessed with skin tech! I am constantly researching how technology and skincare can work together to better formulate ingredients and deliver them to the skin for maximum results. I already have a plan of products that I would like to develop for the next three years. Once I conceptualize a product idea that I feel fits the brand and will benefit my customers, I work on research, technology, ingredients, and delivery system. If I am 1000% sure that I have something really innovative, I bring my team in and we work to bring it to life. My latest product, released at the end of December, will feature an innovative delivery system and platform of ingredients to help give your skin a super boost.

What advice would you give your 20 year old self?

Stop hiding in the house! Get outside and live your life. Don't let acne take over your existence. You are awesome. And stop choosing!

Fill in the forms:

Three of my products on a desert island: Peace Out Acne Healing Dots, my portable neck fan and my SPF.

For me, beauty meansA: You hear it over and over again, but for me inside outside. Look, sometimes I feel fucking amazing, my pores are tight, I don't have hyperpigmentation, and my skin is moist. Sometimes I look at myself and feel like a 500 year old Mummy! Fortunately, I have a husband who reminds me how wonderful life is and how much I am worth. This is beautiful for me.

The best thing about being my own boss isA: The ability to be truly creative. I was born to invent skin care products and technologies, so I live my dream.

My typical self-care Sunday includes: Netflix, martini and homemade pizza.
