I finally figured out why superfood face wash is so popular from youth to people

As a professional makeup tester, it may come as a shock to me that prior to this review, I had never tried Youth to the People products. Of course, I've seen comments on social media showering the brand with praise and heard rave reviews from friends and colleagues. But until Superfood Cleanser hit my desk, courtesy of the brand, I was perfectly happy with life under the rock of beauty.

Call me an opponent, but there are new products on TikTok and Instagram every day, and sometimes I just don't want to buy into the hype around every launch, especially since I recently started trying to make my skincare more sustainable. Now that I finally got my hands on this cleanser, I wish I had tried it sooner. Keep scrolling to read all my thoughts on the trendy product and why I think this is a great cleanser for sensitive skin.

Superfood Detergent Breakdown From Youth to People

Youth to the People (YTTP) is known for its line of vegan, organic products made in the USA. The Superfood Cleanser is one of the brand's best-selling products, averaging four stars out of a whopping 5,000 reviews on Sephora's website. It contains a blend of antioxidant-rich kale, green tea, and spinach extracts that promise to soothe your skin and enrich it with vitamins C and E.

The consistency is gel-like with little foam, and it comes in a sleek glass bottle with cap and dispenser, so you can avoid mess if you toss the cleanser in your toiletries bag before you travel. It is made without parabens, phthalates and sulfates.

The brand supports various non-profit organizations, including Soul Fire Farm, a community farm focused on African Indigenous peoples, and Cool Effect, an organization working to reduce global carbon emissions. Armed with this knowledge, I felt better by adding Superfood cleanser to my daily routine.

My Experience with Youth to the People Cleansing Superfood

I recently became a dual cleanse advocate, so I decided to try the Youth Human Superfood Cleanser as the second step in my routine. I love how cleansing balms dissolve my makeup and sunscreen and how they nourish my dry, sensitive skin, but they can't take it all off on their own. This is where Superfood cleanser comes in handy.

After applying my favorite cleansing balm to dry skin and leaving it on my face for about one minute, I splashed my face with water and washed my face with a Superfood pump. When I finished, my skin looked clear and completely free of makeup. Moreover, I did not have that feeling of tightness and dryness that some cleansers give my skin. Instead, my face was palpably soft and smooth. I try to stay away from fragranced skincare because I'm sensitive to scents, but I love the way this cleanser smells. It reminds me of a vegetable garden soaking up the sun's rays - light, green and not overpowering at all. I am happy to report that I finally understand the hype around this cleanser.
