Ultimate Travel Skincare Emergency Kit

When you're always on the go, taking care of your skin can sometimes take a backseat, especially if you're ill-prepared. But when the (skin) disaster strikes, you'll wish you had planned ahead to get rid of that pimple, wipe off makeup, moisturize dry skin, and more. Ahead, we'll share ten skincare products to keep in your car, purse, or carry-on in case of a skincare "emergency."

CLEANER

Cleansing your skin of makeup and impurities is one of the most important steps in any skin care routine. So, you certainly don't want to run out of cleanser, especially when you're on the go! We recommend purchasing a travel micellar water like La Roche-Posay Micellar Water 100 ml to help you remove make-up and impurities with just a few swipes of a cotton pad. This no-rinse cleanser is formulated with micellar technology that attracts, traps and removes makeup and other impurities from the surface of the skin without foaming.

La Roche-Posay Micellar Water, 100 ml, $7.99.

MAKEUP REMOVER

In addition to micellar water, we recommend putting makeup remover wipes in your emergency skin care kit. You can use them to quickly cleanse the surface of the skin and remove makeup, or rub them on your hands before cleansing your skin and applying other products (provided you are away from running water). We love Garnier SkinActive Clean+ Refreshing Remover Cleansing Wipes because they not only remove impurities and make-up, but also revitalize and make skin look healthier!

LOTION FOR THE FACE

No matter where you are, you'll never want to be without a moisturizer, especially if you're prone to dry skin. We like to keep a bottle of Garnier's SkinActive Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 in our emergency kits because it can provide our skin with sun protection, plus it contains antioxidant-rich Vitamins C and E, Pine Bark Essences. and mild exfoliating labial hydroxyl acid (LHA) for healthy, revitalized skin.

Sunscreen

You should always have sunscreen with you, but just in case you run out of it, keep it in your emergency skin care kit. We love SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 because it's lightweight, has a matte finish, helps absorb excess sebum, and adds some color to the skin. Plus, it has a translucent tint and is non-comedogenic so won't clog pores!
