We've Tried: A Review of Kiehl's Micellar Cleansing Water Infused with Herbs

Looking for micellar water? Add Kiehl's Micellar Herbal Cleansing Water to your repertoire. New formula total launched and our friends at Kiehl's were kind enough to share a free sample with the Skincare.com team. Naturally, we were more than happy to give it a try and share our review.

MICELLAR WATER BENEFITS

We love turning to micellar water to cleanse our skin and remove makeup for several reasons. First, it's incredibly easy to use. All you need to clean surface impurities and remove makeup is to moisten a cotton pad with the liquid of your choice and sweep it along the contours of the face. Most formulas don't even require a subsequent rinse, which brings us to our next benefit: convenience. You can use no-rinse micellar water just about anywhere, whether it's on your desk, in bed, or at the gym. This feature is incredibly convenient for active girls, gym enthusiasts and those who simply do not want to be in close proximity to the sink during cleaning. However, the biggest benefit of using micellar water comes down to its multitasking. Essentially, they are all-in-one formulas that can cleanse and refresh skin and remove make-up without harsh rubbing or tugging. Because they are so mild, most micellar waters are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive ones.

While micellar water isn't necessarily a new technology, their popularity has only increased since they made their way to the US from France. That's why some of our favorite brands continue to release new and unique innovations. One such brand is Kiehl's, which plans to launch a brand new micellar water this summer, infused with lemon balm flower water and thyme essential oil. The formula is not yet available for purchase, but the Skincare.com team received a free sample to try before launch. Curious to know our thoughts? Kiehl's Herbal Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Recommended for: All skin types, even sensitive.

Formulated with lemon balm floral water and thyme essential oil, this cleansing water effectively cleanses skin and removes makeup without rinsing, rubbing or scrubbing. This is a powerful yet gentle formula that uses micellar technology to instantly capture and remove any stubborn dirt, impurities and makeup with a soaked cotton pad. In addition to keeping the skin clean. Feeling soft, fresh and revitalized, the all-in-one cleanser leaves behind a pleasant herbal scent..

Our thoughts: As big fans of micellar water in general, we were thrilled to try this new formula, which is 99.8% natural ingredients, which Kiehl's believes if an ingredient has not changed from its natural state or if it has been processed but retains more than 50% of its molecular structure is from its original plant or mineral source. While we could have used it separately as both a cleanser and a make-up remover, we opted for the double cleansing method. First, we created a good lather with Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Wash. to gently remove impurities and restore our skin without overdrying. After rinsing and wiping dry, we soaked a cotton pad with Kiehl's Herb Infused Micellar Cleansing Water and rubbed it over our face, allowing it to trap and remove any lingering dirt and grime that the Calendula Foaming Foam Cleanser might have missed. We were not only instantly captivated by the lemon scent of the herbal water, but also by the way it left our skin clean, soft and fresh..
