from improve complexion и stain coating To even out your skin tone, foundation can dramatically change the look of your skin. But finding the right cover texture and formula for your skin can be overwhelming. Dermablend's extensive line of formulas is a great place to start. Our parent company, L'Oréal, has sent free samples of the range to our employees for them to review and share with our readers. From lightweight options that provide full coverage to mattifying powders perfect for oily skin, we share our thoughts on each foundation.

Dermablend Flawless Creator Light Foundation

Full coverage with a light texture is possible. Dermablend's Flawless Creator is proof of that. Foundation drops contain highly effective pigments in a light, homogeneous liquid. The formula is oil-free, never sticky and gives a smooth, soft finish. We liked that it was weightless yet could still hide discoloration, acne scars and redness. What's more, it's a great option if you have oily skin but prefer a liquid texture.

How it works

Be sure to shake the bottle well before use. Then use an eyedropper to apply a few drops to your hand. Apply the liquid to the face and blend the product with a damp cosmetic sponge or foundation brush. Finish off with setting powder and you're done.

Dermablend Cover Cream

Cover Creme is a fan favorite, and after trying it out for ourselves, we can see why. A full coverage cream foundation can cover just about anything from birthmarks and bruises to burns, hyperpigmentation, post-surgery issues, scars and vitiligo. Cover Creme comes in a jar with a small spatula to remove the product. This minimizes your chances of contaminating the product with germs left on your hands. It's a thick formula, so a little goes a long way. It spreads evenly, the finish is velvety. When worn with Dermablend Loose Setting PowderThis foundation lasts up to 16 hours. It's also non-comedogenic and fragrance-free, so it's a great option for people with sensitive skin. What's more, it's formulated with SPF 30. We love knowing our foundation works as an extra layer of protection against harmful sun rays. Do you also need something to hide dark circles? Reach Dermablend Cover Care Concealer - it's amazing.

How it works

Remove a small amount of Cover Creme from the pan and heat the product with your fingertip to soften the cream and make it more blendable. Apply directly to any visible imperfections and use a tapping motion to cover. If necessary, let the base dry and apply an additional coat. Finish off with a generous amount of setting powder, leave on for two minutes, then shake off excess.

Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Hydrating Foundation

If you have dry skin, a hydrating liquid foundation is a great option. This is where the Smooth Liquid Camo moisturizing foundation comes in. It has medium coverage but easily hides everything from redness and blemishes to uneven skin tone and freckles. In addition, it left a super smooth surface. The breathable formula lasted up to 16 hours using Dermablend Loose Setting Powder. Overall, it gave our skin a nice dewy glow.

How it works

When using a liquid foundation, we always opt for a damp makeup sponge, but you can also use a foundation brush. Starting from the inside of the face, tap the sponge outward to blend the foundation. If you need extra coverage, you can always apply a little more foundation to the sponge. To set, take Dermablend's Setting Powder, apply a generous amount, leave on for two minutes, then shake off excess.

Dermablend Intense Powder Camo Matte Foundation

If you prefer a powder foundation and a matte finish, try this Dermablend option. When we reviewed this powder foundation, we found that it can indeed be applied for medium to full coverage. We loved the natural look it gave our skin and its ability to mask redness, pimples, uneven skin tone and birthmarks. The best part? It looks plush and looks sleek, not cakey.

How it works

After using primer, apply foundation with a fluffy powder brush, blending and blending from the inside of the face to the outer corners. If you prefer a wet finish, take a damp blender sponge and gently tap it on your face.
