Absolue Velvet Face Cream by Lancôme is the perfect moisturizer for summer

When you are looking summer moisturizer, you may not like the luxurious creamy formula. Lancôme Absolue Velvet Face Cream SPF 15However, this is no ordinary luxurious creamy moisturizer. The new limited edition cream is a novelty in the brand's line. absolute line - has an innovative formula that contains sun protection and surprisingly lightweight. I had the opportunity to get my hands on a jar courtesy of the brand, and I'll cover more about it and my full review below. 

Benefits of Lancôme Absolue Velvet SPF 15 Face Cream

This cream is unique to the Absolue line in that it contains a broad spectrum sunscreen to help prevent sun damage and signs of premature aging. The ingredient list also includes Grand Rose Extracts, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycolic Acid and Shea Butter, which contribute to a more hydrated, smoother, firmer, radiant, and in every way younger look. Clinical tests show skin is firmer in as little as four hours of use, brighter and brighter even within one week of use, and signs of aging such as fine lines and dark spots are reduced over time.  

My Review of Absolue Velvet Face Cream by Lancome SPF 15

I don't have oily or acne-prone skin, but like many people, I always get breakouts in the summer and prefer to use light textured skincare products rather than thick, suffocating ones. It can be hard to find a moisturizer that is both hydrating yet non-greasy and doesn't clog pores, but I finally found the winner in Lancôme's Absolue Velvet Face Cream SPF 15. 

At first glance, the formula seems very creamy, but as soon as I apply it to the skin, it melts without leaving a sticky or sticky film. After the first application, I quickly understood why the word "velvet" was in the product name; my face was velvety soft from the moment I applied it until the moment I washed my face at night. In fact, I had to stop constantly touching my face to feel the nice texture. This characteristic also makes it an ideal makeup canvas. I have found that my BB cream goes on nice and smooth and that I don't need a primer.

When applied, the moisturizer makes my skin look radiant and I even put extra formula on top of my cheekbones as a highlighter. My friends with oily skin need not worry - the glow is not at all shiny, just reflective. 

Also worth noting is the subtle yet intoxicating aroma of rose, courtesy of extracts from the French great rose. This gives the phrase "wake up and smell the roses" a whole new meaning. 

Finally, one of my favorite aspects of a moisturizer is the broad spectrum SPF 15 protection. Of course, I still wear sunscreen on top of it, but you can never get enough protection, especially in the summer. 

And while I currently classify it as the perfect summer product, I don't think I'll be giving it up for the fall. If I need extra hydration, I just add my favorite facial oil. From now on, I want my skin to be velvety.
