How to Complete Your Skin Care Treatment in 5 Minutes or Less

Many of us are all too familiar with morning wrestling. We rush to clean up and get out on time for work, school, and our daily activities, feeling very tired and shy. In the evening we are usually tired after a long day. No matter how tired or lazy you feel, it's important not to let your skin care take a back seat. Neglecting your skin - on purpose or because of a busy schedule - is never a good idea, especially since an all-round routine doesn't have to take hours. In this regard, we share tips on how to complete your skincare routine in five minutes or less. Keep reading to find out how to take care of your skin in less time than it takes to make your morning coffee.

STICK TO THE BASIC

Many people mistakenly believe that all skincare routines require dozens of products and multiple steps. It just isn't. If you want to swap different eye creams, serums, or face masks, feel free to do so. But if you're short on time, there's nothing wrong with just sticking to your daily routine of cleansing, moisturizing, and applying SPF. No matter how rushed or tired you are, you should cleanse your skin of dirt and impurities with a mild cleanser, hydrate your skin with a moisturizer, and protect it with a broad spectrum SPF of 15 or higher. No "ifs", "ands" or "buts" about this.

Note: Be more simple. There is no need to bombard the skin with products. Find a routine that works well and stick to it. Over time it will become second nature. In addition, if you spend some time on skin care, the less time you will need to mask problem areas in the future.

SAVE TIME WITH MULTITASKING PRODUCTS

Multi-tasking products are a godsend for busy women as they complete more than one step at a time. They also free up space in your first aid kit, which is never a bad thing. Let's start with cleansing, a step that's a must both morning and night to cleanse your skin of impurities—dirt, excess sebum, make-up, and dead skin cells—that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. An all-in-one cleanser suitable for all skin types is micellar water. One of our favorites is Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. The powerful yet gentle formula captures and removes impurities, removes make-up and refreshes skin with just one swipe of a cotton pad. Apply moisturizer after cleansing and apply a layer of Broad Spectrum SPF in the morning. Combine both steps into one with an SPF moisturizer like Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF Lotion. Since sun protection isn't an issue at night, put on an overnight mask or cream to help smooth and revitalize your skin while you sleep.

Stay Organized

To help you get through your routine quickly, keep all your skincare essentials in one easy-to-reach place. If there are products you use less often, store them in the back of your first aid kit so they don't get in the way of the ones you use every day. Catching fish in a pile of food definitely lengthens the routine, so try to stay organized and tidy.

BEAUTIFUL FROM THE BED

It's late in the evening, you're lying comfortably in bed and you just can't muster the strength to head to the bathroom sink. Instead of falling asleep with makeup on or skipping your evening routine altogether, store some groceries on your nightstand. No-rinse cleansers, cleansing wipes, hand cream, night cream, etc. are all fair game. Having these items on hand is not only convenient, but also saves time and energy.
