How to get an even skin tone instantly

Blush, dullness, dark spots, and even acne, all of these issues can make our skin look duller than gorgeous in no time. While you should definitely look to skin care products to tailor the treatment that best suits your needs and helps you achieve a more even skin tone, sometimes there's just no time to wait. At this time, purchase makeup products that will help instantly visibly even out your skin tone. When we're in a pinch and need to hide a discoloration, one of our favorite brands to lean on is Dermablend. Below, we'll detail how we use Dermablend's bright, long-lasting makeup to cover up imperfections and help us achieve the even skin tone we want.

Step 1: Cleansing and moisturizing

Even if your complexion already looks flawless, in no case do not start applying makeup on dirty skin. Whether it's make-up residue, excess sebum, or just accumulated dirt, the surface of the skin must be clean before applying foundation and concealer. For best results, use a cleanser formulated for your skin type. After cleansing the skin, it's time to moisturize it. For smoother application of makeup, well-moisturized skin is key - after all, you don't want your foundation to be dry!

Step 2: Foundation

Now that your skin is prepped for makeup, use a bright, long-lasting foundation like Dermablend's Intense Powder Camo. This buildable medium to full coverage foundation is designed to cover uneven skin tone, redness, pimples, birthmarks and even freckles. The powder base provides a glossy finish and is available in a wide range of shades. For medium coverage, apply with a powder brush and for maximum coverage, apply to skin with a sponge. Layer on foundation until you reach your desired level of coverage.

Step 3: Concealer

For dark circles or any areas that require a little extra coverage, use a concealer. Try Dermablend's Quick Fix Concealer. The creamy full coverage concealer has a velvety smooth finish and is designed to help cover everything from dark circles to blemishes and more. When used with Dermablend Setting Powder (Step 4!) it can help provide coverage for up to 16 hours.

Step 4: install

Once your look is complete, set it for a long time with a little setting powder like Dermablend's Setting Powder. Loose powder can be layered over Dermablend foundations and concealers to increase durability for up to 16 hours of smudge- and transfer-resistant color. Apply a generous amount of product over any Dermablend Cover, let set for two minutes and shake off excess powder. The powder comes in three shades, so you can find the one that best complements your skin tone and gives you the result you want.
