How a beauty editor would spend $100 on Amazon

As long as it can't be denied Amazon is a convenient place to shop, but can also be one of the most difficult. I mean do you ever scroll through the beauty section? There are pages and product pages from companies ranging from most famous and popular less cosmetics indie brands. If you're looking to jump back into a new skincare routine, it can be hard to decide which ones to try. If you need recommendations, look no further than our team of beauty editors (also known as skincare enthusiasts) who have been given a hypothetical budget of $100 on Amazon. Read on to find out which skincare products they'll add to their Amazon shopping cart.

I like to be strategic about my spending. I always have one luxury-worthy product on my list, and then I like to add a couple of drugstore options so I feel like I'm walking away with more value for my money. My luxury worthy product at the moment is Vichy LiftActiv Peptide-C Anti-Aging Moisturizer ($39) worth every penny for its ability to brighten, firm and hydrate my skin with a super soft, silky and soft formula. Then I would add my skin savers who Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17) and skyn ICELAND Blemish Dots Facial Salicylic Acid ($20). These two products are my top picks for removing unexpected stains, so I feel like I can never have too much in my stash. As for detergents, I prefer to stock up Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water ($6.77), which I love to use before a cleanser to quickly get rid of makeup and any dirt or impurities on the surface. For deeper cleaning I like to use CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser ($14.71) because it's affordable and effective.

Two of my favorite things of all time are Amazon's 100-day shipping and skincare, so this imaginary challenge is very much to my liking. Here's what I would buy with $XNUMX: First? CeraVe Moisturizing Facial Cleanser ($13.79). It helps soothe the skin in winter and leaves my face fresh and clean. Then I will replenish my supply of toner and antioxidant serums. Mario Bedescu Hamamelis Toner ($14) and La Roche-Posay Vitamin C Serum ($39.99). The toner leaves me feeling perfectly clean, while the vitamin C serum helps to brighten my complexion and eliminate hyperpigmentation. With the rest of my money I would buy Weleda Skin Food ($12.49) and Dr. Paw Paw All Purpose Balm ($8.50). These are my holy grail products and I just can't get enough of them. Weleda is great as an ultra-moisturizing full face cream in winter or as an impromptu highlighter. Multipurpose balm Dr. Paw Paw not only helps moisturize my lips, but I also love using the peach pink shade on my cheeks for a subtle blush.

I find it hard to resist the free XNUMX-day shipping on Amazon, so I go there to stock up on many beauty essentials. I never let myself get out TULA Purifying Facial Cleanser ($24) - I use it every day, twice a day. To remove make-up residue (such as waterproof eye products) left after washing, I use Garnier SkinActive Rose Water Micellar Cleansing Water ($6.96). Next comes L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($17.99). It is ultra hydrating and I just love how luxurious the bottle looks. In addition to the hyaluronic acid serum, I love using the vitamin C serum in my routine to keep my complexion bright and radiant. One of my recent favorites is InstaNatural Skin Brightening Serum ($17.97). To complete my expenses Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Moisture Face Cream ($31) and worth every penny - a little goes a long way.

Building my Amazon skincare collection is a breeze for me because I literally order everything else I use from Amazon. The first thing I would add to cart is L'Oréal Paris 10% Glycolic Acid Serum ($23.94) because it's one of my favorite exfoliating formulas. It's really light, absorbs quickly into the skin and makes my skin look brighter after just a few uses. I would also add one of my new favorites: Tula Probiotic Glow & Get It Cooling Eye Balm ($28). This glow stick has become a staple in my pre-makeup routine because it wakes me up instantly. For detergent, I would restock on CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser ($13.79) which I just can't live without and I would also take Deodorant Megababe Rosy Pits ($23.94) because I like to carry it with me everywhere (it's a lifesaver, I swear!).

I'm the type of buyer who tries to fit absolutely everything I need into their budget, so I'm willing to bet I try to make as many steps as possible in my $100 skincare. The first thing I add to cart is Mineral Vichy 89 (29.50 USD). If all else fails, at least I'll have a moisturizing serum in my cart. One of the best makeup removers I have ever used is Lancôme Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover Dual Action, and at $24.50 it's a must. If I feel very dry, I apply as much hyaluronic acid as possible and The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 my best budget choice. At only $12.48, it's actually a steal. As a small treat I would definitely catch Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay ($9.99). I swear it is truly magical and cleans my pores like no other. Who doesn't love a good mask? And finally, this is not a complete skin care without SPF, so I would scoop La Roche-Posay Anthelios Gentle Lotion Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 for $ 22.49.
