In a recent beauty trend report published by Google, it was revealed that the most popular skincare ingredient was none other than clay. Most commonly associated with face masks, clay has been used in skincare formulas for years for its ability to reduce the appearance of excess oil and impurities from the skin's surface. But why limit the use of products containing this ingredient to one to three times a week? Thanks to the new clay cleansers from L'Oréal Paris, your daily skincare routine can include clay products! L'Oréal Paris Pure Clay Cleansers 

Of the three must-have steps in every skincare routine, cleansing is always number one. (Two and three? Moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF). That's why we're excited to introduce the new Pure-Clay cleansers from L'Oréal Paris. Based on an ingredient most commonly found in facial mask formulas, the new cleansers allow you to enjoy the benefits of clay products in your daily skin care routine. Like Pure-Clay face masks, cleansers are available in a variety of formulas that you can mix and match to suit your current concerns.

Each daily clay and mousse cleanser is made up of three pure clays—hence the name. Kaolin clay is a fine, soft white clay, montmorillonite clay is a green clay, and Moroccan lava clay is a red clay derived from volcanoes. Together, they can help absorb excess sebum, clear the appearance of the skin's surface, and remove dead skin cells from the skin's surface. From there, you can customize your cleanse by choosing one of three formulas:

- Formulated with red algae, this daily cleanser helps remove daily impurities such as dirt, oil and impurities by exfoliating the surface of the skin. The cleanser helps shrink pores.

- Formulated with eucalyptus, this cleanser also helps wash away impurities without drying out the skin. However, this formula helps deep cleanse by removing excess oil, leaving skin matte and fresh.

- Formulated with charcoal, this clay cleanser helps to remove impurities from the surface of the skin, while also helping to brighten and even out skin tone for a fresher look.

You can use just one cleanser per day or alternate depending on your current needs! After cleansing, be sure to hydrate your skin to replenish moisture, and after cleansing in the morning, don't forget to apply (and then reapply!) Broad Spectrum SPF.

Masks L'Oreal Paris Pure-Clay

After using your daily cleansers, incorporate a clay facial mask into your daily routine up to three times a week. L'Oréal Paris Pure-Clay masks are one of our favorites. Like cleansers, they're available in a variety of formulas, including a brand new blue face mask that's sure to be your summer favorite. Like cleansers, each mask is made up of a combination of three mineral clays — kaolin clay, montmorillonite clay, and Moroccan lava clay — among other ingredients. Depending on your needs, you can use one after the other or mix and match masks on different areas of the face to solve various skin problems for an easy multi-masking session at home!

: For oily and hyperemic skin, use a mattifying treatment mask with clay and eucalyptus, which helps to clear the appearance of the skin and remove excess oil from the surface of the skin, giving it a clear, matte look.

: To help brighten dull and tired skin by removing dirt and other impurities from the surface of the skin, use the clay and charcoal brightening treatment mask.

: For rough, clogged skin, use a purifying treatment mask with clay and red algae to exfoliate the surface of the skin and give it a more refined look.
