Can you tell us about your daily skincare routine?

It was a process but in the morning I just cleanse my face and use Thayers Hydrating Milk Tonerwhich was new but incredible. Then I'll use some kind of serum - now it's a peptide serum - and then just a moisturizer and lip balm. In the morning, I try to keep it pretty simple, simply because I don't want a super-thick layer of skin care products on my face before applying makeup. At night, I usually do a deeper treatment, and again, it's just a Thayers cleanser and moisturizing milk toner. I actually use tretinoin, a retinoid for acne. I have been on this for a while so my skin gets very dry so I have to use a lot of moisturizing products at night. Then I will use the peptide serum again. hyaluronic acid and a thicker moisturizer at night.

What type of skin do you have and how did you learn to take care of it?

I actually have had super, super oily skin for as long as I can remember. It's probably been the last year and a half or two that I started noticing that I was getting a little dry and flaky around my mouth and nose, and I know it's because of the tretinoin I'm using. At the moment I can say that I have combination skin. But it was definitely a process and I would say that I had to go to a dermatologist and get my skin evaluated to see what products I should be using. It definitely took a while to get into a proper daily routine, but I feel like I'm pretty good at understanding the products I need to use now.

How do you incorporate Thayers into your routine?

I use Hydrating Milky Toner twice a day and it just helps a lot with the dry skin I get. The moisturizing milk toner was just incredible. I have noticed such a drastic change in my skin and I am not necessarily saying this applies to every skin care brand I have worked with, but I can sincerely and confidently say that this product has improved my skin tremendously. [My skin] literally feels like a baby's butt every time I put it on, which is incredible.

Have you always been interested in skin care and beauty?

I grew up in a house where most were girls. I am the eldest of four girls, so I have three younger sisters and my mom was a big influence on my love for leather. I would always sit and watch her do her makeup or always ask questions like what skin care products she uses. I feel like at such a young age I wanted to get into skin care and beauty just because I was surrounded by it all the time. I've had such a love for it since I was so young and I feel like it was a process - I definitely didn't always use the right products, but I've always enjoyed it. I found it so beautiful and just so interesting.

What is your most essential skin care product and why?

I know I've been talking about this this entire meeting, but Thayers Hydrating Milky Toner is by far my favorite because I have dry skin right now and it's simply the best product for me right now. It leaves your skin so smooth. Typically, if I forget to use it or something, I wake up with dry little flakes where I have dry skin. But whenever I use it, I don't wake up in this way, which is unbelievable. Definitely a must-have for me; I bring it everywhere I go. Sometimes I forget the cotton pad, but that's okay because it works the same way when you apply it with your hands.

What's your favorite TikTok beauty hack? How did you discover it?

I can't remember who started this trend, but I do remember seeing a few videos about it. It's when you put a little brown dot with eyeshadow or a freckle pencil on a pimple you have to turn it into a mole instead of just making it a bump under makeup, which is what I find so beautiful. This makes it look less like a pimple under makeup and more like it should be there. I think it's so much fun and I do it if I have a pimple in the right place.

Who do you like to follow on TikTok for beauty and skincare inspiration?

There is this girl named Mikayla Nogueira on TikTok. She has exploded in the last year and a half and her makeup is so incredible. Not only does she do some really fun looks and she's an incredibly talented artist, but she'll also be doing makeup reviews on new products that are making a splash right now and her reviews are so authentic. It really doesn't embellish anything, so I feel like it helps me a lot when I'm looking for a new makeup product, primer, or any other skin care product. I trust her reviews 100%. She is so down to earth and so beautiful. I could watch her videos all day long.
