7 Ways to Achieve Glowing Skin

Your moist foundation and creamy highlighter can help your skin look more *luminous*, but to maximize your results, you must start with a naturally radiant foundation and build on it. It starts with adherence to a solid skin care regimen and parting with bad habits - and here's how to do this job right.

Clear your skin

It is very difficult (if not impossible) to achieve radiant skin when surface dirt clogs pores and leaves the skin dull and lifeless. Use a gentle cleanser morning and evening to wash away dirt, oil, impurities and other impurities that clog pores from the surface of the skin. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser. If your pores are prone to clogging, give Skinceuticals LHA Cleansing Gel try.

Don't skip toner

No matter how carefully we clean, it is possible to miss a few stains. That's where toner comes in. It removes residual dirt in one fell swoop, helps to balance the pH level of the skin after cleansing and tightens pores. One of our favorites Tonic Vichy Purete Thermale.

Peeling with alpha hydroxy acids

If you haven't met glycolic acid yet, now is the time to get acquainted. AHAs work to smooth out the top layer of skin where dead skin cells can accumulate and give it a dull appearance. Use L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal Brightening Peeling Pads- with 10% glycolic acid - every evening after cleansing. Be sure to use it in tandem with your SPF moisturizer in the morning.

Hydration with SPF

All skin needs moisture. Everybody skin also needs SPF protection every day for protection against aggressive environmental factors and UV rays. Combine the two and choose a moisturizer with SPF protection, such as Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital Day Cream SPF 30. It boasts a broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen with a complex formula of nourishing vitamins E, B5 and CG for all-day hydration.

Stay hydrated

While you are enjoying a balanced diet, remember to also stay hydrated with a healthy amount of water every day. Dehydration can cause skin to look dull and dry. Knowing this, our editor wondered what would happen to her skin if she drank. gallon water every day for the whole month. Read about her H2O challenge here..

Find the right balance with makeup

If after makeup your skin looks too matte, rub a little moisturizer between your fingers and gently apply it to the raised points of the cheeks. This will instantly make your face look fresh and moist. Gentle facial mist Thermal water La Roche-Posay- works just as well to bring some life back to your complexion and put all your hard work back into place. If your skin tends to be more oily than shiny, quickly apply pressed powder that doesn't completely kill the shine.

Take off your makeup at night

Don't fall victim to one of the biggest skin sins: sleeping in makeup. Your skin is renewed and repaired during deep sleep, so it's especially important to remove makeup before bed - no matter how tired or lazy you are. Failure to do so can interfere with this all-too-important process and cause many problems.
