6 moisturizing skin care products to apply over makeup

While applying skin care over makeup may seem counter-intuitive (after all, the goal is to get it as close to bare skin as possible), there are plenty of reasons to get started. Reason number one: it's easy moisturize and refresh the skin throughout the day. Reason Two: This is a reason to use more skin care products. Easy-to-use (and carry) products like sprays and oils are best for this, and can be used in specific areas without disrupting the rest of your look. With that in mind, we've rounded up our favorites, from rose water mist you'll want to keep in every bag aesthetically pleasing mask you can use almost everywhere.

Facial oils are one of our favorite ways to treat skin over makeup—you can use it to add a little dew to your face's high points, hydrate dry patches, or combat a particularly sticky formula. However, use it sparingly so as not to completely wipe off your makeup. One of our favorite options is the youth-preserving Herbivore Orchid Facial Oil, which is designed to give skin a radiant, dewy glow. Summer Friday jet lag mask

Chances are you've already seen this mask on your Instagram feed - its cool blue packaging and aesthetically pleasing wrinkles are hard to miss. Although it's called a "mask," it's actually an all-in-one product that doesn't need to be rinsed off and can be worn over makeup.
