3 easy skincare tips from the social media star

Browsing social media, if you stumble upon the profile of Angela Hoffer (aka Angela Marie), you're likely to immediately fall into a rabbit hole of likes and comments with questions about how she does it. From flawless complexion and plump lips to perfect smoky eyes and sculpted brows, the social media star clearly knows a thing or two about beauty, and her follower count shows just how many people love to follow her story. Knowing how much our readers 2) love beauty and XNUMX) love social media, we knew we should contact Hoffer to see what we could learn. Ahead, we'll share her favorite beauty tips and how to apply them for a decent complexion image.

Tip #1: Always wash your face... no matter how tired you are

Simple yet effective morning and evening skin care, paired with the right lifestyle, is the key to a great complexion, and Hoffer knows this firsthand. "I usually wake up and make sure to drink plenty of water to hydrate my skin because I notice such a difference in my skin when I'm dehydrated," says Hoffer. Hoffer then relies on a quick swipe of L'Oréal Paris Ideal Clean All Skin Types Removaltes make-up remover wipes to remove the dirt and debris that made its way to her face overnight, followed by an oil-control toner and an anti-wrinkle cream created on based SPF and a caffeinated moisturizer to top it all off. “It makes my skin feel so invigorated!” she says. And, with the added bonus of SPF, she may feel better about the biggest skincare regret from her past. "I wish my face never saw the sunlight [without sunscreen]!" she says. “I literally regret not wearing sunscreen in all these years. When I see these young girls with beautiful porcelain skin thrashing about in tanning beds, I just want to save them!”

At night — after a long day of murders as a social media beauty star — Hoffer makes sure to wash her face, no matter how exhausted she is. “Wash your face every night! Preventive skin care is much easier than trying to fix problem skin,” she says. To cleanse his skin, Hoffer relies on a double cleansing method, from a makeup wipe to a charcoal cleanser. She likes to use the facial brush to really rub the cleansing formula into her skin. From there, she exfoliates with a deep pore cleanser to remove any pore-clogging impurities.

I just think it's so important to moisturize the skin. No matter how much makeup you put on, bad skin will shine through!

Tip #2: Don't Rip Stains

We've told you once and we'll say it again: plucking your spots, no matter how annoying they are, is never a good idea. Hoffer completely agrees. “Plucking spots can leave a scar behind, not to mention longer healing time,” she warns. “Just apply an acne remedy to the affected areas and you will feel much better.” Choose one that contains acne-fighting ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.

Editor's Note: If you use more than one acne medication at the same time, be aware that skin irritation and dryness may occur. If you notice this, reduce your use to one acne medication at a time.

Tip #3: Nourish your skin with a face mask once or twice a week

While Hoffer's skincare routine is relatively simple, it's understandable why her skin looks as good as it does now. Even though she relies on daily cleansing and doesn't pick at her skin to maintain her decent complexion, she loves fast-acting face masks that take little time to show benefits, and for good reason! In just five minutes (in some cases), it can hydrate, brighten, or further exfoliate skin. Yes please.

After Hoffer completes her mask, she loves to seal in the extra benefits of her just-completed treatment with a super moisturizer. In fact, she says that if there was one product she couldn't live without, it would be a great moisturizer. “I just think it's so important to keep your skin moisturized,” says Hoffer. “No matter how much makeup you put on, bad skin will show through!”
