10 skin care steps for complete relaxation

We have two moods in skin care: Some days we like to keep things super simple and fast because either we need to get to work as soon as possible (whether online or in person) or we can't wait to get into bed. . Then, there are other days that we love (read also: need) to indulge in full self care experience. Talked disguise from head to toe and make extravagant Ten steps for skin care. Inspired by Korean beauty, this skincare trend is one of our favorites for feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. To gain experience, learn how to follow the ten steps ahead skin care routine.

STEP 1: Double cleanse

Double cleansing is a staple of K-beauty skincare. The process involves washing your face first with an oil-based cleanser and then with a water-based cleanser. The result is a deeper and more thorough cleaning. An oil-based cleanser applied to dry skin helps remove makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum, and other oil-based impurities that may be left on your skin. For this step, try Lancôme Énergie de Vie Smoothing and Purifying Cleansing Oil. After rinsing with warm water, apply a water-based cleanser such as Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash to gently remove impurities without stripping skin of essential moisture.

STEP 2: Exfoliate

Remove surface dead cells with regular exfoliation, up to twice a week or as tolerated. Exfoliation helps remove unwanted dead skin cells that can clog pores and make your face look dull. For the face, try the La Roche-Posay Ultrafine Facial Scrub. It is made with ultra-fine pumice stones that gently remove excess dead cells and purify the skin without being too harsh. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive.

STEP 3: Toner

A toner can help hydrate the skin and remove excess residue from double cleansing, as well as prep the skin for the rest of the steps. Moisten a cotton pad with Lancôme Tonique Confort Moisturizing Toner and swipe it over your face. Your skin will instantly feel soft and fresh.

STEP 4: Essence

Essences are great for extra hydration. After toning, apply Lancôme Hydra Zen Beauty Essence to face and neck. The formula is designed to help combat the visible signs of stress while leaving skin hydrated and soothed.

STEP 5: Serum

Serums offer a high concentration of ingredients such as vitamins and nutrients that help address specific skin care concerns. For an anti-aging serum, check out Vichy Liftactiv Peptide-C Ampoule Serum, which contains 10% pure vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, phytopeptides and Vichy Volcanic Water to combat fine lines, wrinkles, lack of firmness and radiance. If you have acne-prone or oily skin, you can try CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum to help reduce the appearance of acne marks and enlarged pores. Whatever you choose, the goal of your serum should be to choose a formula that will help meet your specific needs.

STEP 6: Moisturize from head to toe

All skin needs daily hydration, whether it's acne prone or sensitive. To hydrate and protect your skin at the same time, use Lancôme's Absolue Velvet Cream. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, it provides all-day hydration and makes skin firmer, firmer and more radiant, while protecting it with SPF 15. After showering, apply a rich body lotion such as Kiehl's Creme de Corps.

STEP 7: Eye Cream

Since the eye contour is known to be thin and delicate, and also prone to early signs of aging, it's worth taking the extra time to apply an anti-aging eye cream. Lancôme Rénergie Eye enhances hydration to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, creepiness and sagging under the eyes.

STEP 8: Mask

Depending on your skin type and concerns, a weekly face mask may be helpful. Fortunately, there is no shortage of formulas. From sheet masks to clay masks, you're sure to find a formula to help your skin's problems. For example, Garnier SkinActive Glow Boost Fresh-Mix Sheet Mask with Vitamin C is one of our favorites for hydrating and glowing skin.

STEP 9: Lip Balm

The delicate skin on the lips does not contain sebaceous glands, which makes this area more susceptible to unpleasant dryness and flaking. Decision? Adding moisture. Keep a nourishing lip balm or conditioner, like Lancôme Absolue Precious Cells Nourishing Lip Balm, handy so you always have it on hand. The formula combines vitamin E, beeswax, acacia honey and rosehip seed oil to hydrate and smooth lips.

STEP 10: Sunscreen

The final step of any routine should always be the application of a broad spectrum SPF of 15 or higher. The sun's harmful UV rays are always active, which means your skin needs to be protected all year round when you're outside or next to a window. During the daytime, you can use a fast-absorbing facial sunscreen, such as La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Sunscreen with SPF 100. It provides maximum sun protection, glides on easily, and is non-greasy.
