LGBT movement – ​​Parades of equality – a celebration of the LGBT community (VIDEO)

Equality parades are cultural events where lesbian, gay and transgender people celebrate LGBT culture. Equality parades are also attended by the heterosexual people they support. LGBT movement and advocate greater tolerance for sexual minorities. These celebrations of the LGBT community are also social events, as in many cases people take part in them to draw public attention to social issues that affect them personally. Each such Parade is an expression of opposition to intolerance, homophobia and discrimination.

The first Equality Parade was held in 1969 in New York. This happened after the "raid" of the New York police on a gay bar. Usually during such raids, the police not only brutalized the participants in the game, but also legitimized them and disclosed their data, which had an impact on their privacy. At the same time, the community resisted the police. The riots after this incident swept almost the entire district.
