1. What is Bonadea?

How does the drug work? The substances contained in it have a contraceptive effect, inhibiting them ovulation and causing unfavorable changes in the endometrium for the embryo, which effectively prevents pregnancy.

3. Dosage of Bonadea

Bonadea is available in the form of film-coated tablets, marked with the day of the week. It is used orally, always as directed by a doctor. If necessary, the tablets can be washed down with a small amount of water.

Take one tablet daily at the same time for 21 consecutive days, then stop taking the tablets for 7 days. Then, usually 2-3 days after taking the last pill, you should see menstruation (withdrawal bleeding). The next pack should be started after the 7 day break, even if withdrawal bleeding is still ongoing.

  • suspicion of the presence or presence of sex hormone-dependent malignant neoplasms (for example, cancer of the genital organs or breast),
  • use of drugs used in therapy: epilepsy (eg, primidone, phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, topiramate, and felbamate), tuberculosis (eg, rifampicin, rifabutin), HIV infection (eg, ritonavir, nevirapine), and antibiotics ( e.g. penicillins), tetracyclines, griseofulvin). It is also contraindicated to take herbal preparations containing St. John's wort (used to treat depression).

Bonadea cannot be used in pregnancy or when there is a suspicion that you are pregnant. Taking Bonadea while breastfeeding is not recommended.

5. Side effects from the use of the drug
