• A bit on the expensive side. But for a high quality foundation that requires a couple of taps (fewer), it's worth it!

Critique - KAT VON D Tattoo Foundation 

In our testing, we found that the more layers of base you apply, the better the coverage of dark tattoos. However, the layers should not be too thick. For muted color tattoos rather than black or heavily colored tattoos, base works even better without requiring too much cream.

The consistency is thicker, but spreads quite easily. You need to make sure you apply it quickly due to the quick dry nature of the foundation. Even if you have oily skin, you don't have to worry about foundation not being effective on your skin. The matte finish works well on oily skin. However, if you have exceptionally dry skin, you might be better off applying a moisturizer before applying foundation. If you live in very humid conditions, this foundation will not work, although it works better than most other products on the market, even in such conditions. 

The foundation remains intact even after you splash water on it; therefore, it lives up to its waterproof claim. It's also incredibly transfer-resistant and fragrance-free. The packaging, a bottle with a pump, is travel-friendly and easy to use and carry. The only time you want to stay away from this product is when conditions are unbearably hot and humid and you're sweating profusely. But then again, no masking base works in this scenario.

Final thoughts

This tattoo closes the base, ticks all the boxes. Of course, not with full marks, because no foundation can hide a tattoo in very hot and humid weather.
