How to draw a ball with a shadow with a pencil

Drawing lesson on how to draw a three-dimensional ball with a shadow with a pencil step by step in pictures.

To build a circle, you must use a compass, or build a square, more details in this lesson. The light source is in the upper left corner, set the guides from it and draw a shadow from the ball. Draw a curve on the ball that defines the dark area.

Apply the shadow.

Add a shadow and a lighter tone reflex (the part of the shadow that is highlighted by reflection from another surface).

Add saturation and half shadows.

We continue to add light shadows to the light part of the ball, which falls on the light.

Add hatching.
