How to draw a portrait of Megan Fox

One of the most valuable types of painting is a portrait - an image of a person's face. Despite the fact that all people are different and have different facial features, having an idea about the basic rules for drawing a portrait, you can draw anyone.

For example, I took a photo of one of the most popular modern actresses - Megan Fox.

Step 1. First, draw the shape of the face and head. Divide the face in half vertically and into 3 parts horizontally. Just below the top horizontal stripe, draw another stripe for the eyes, and below the bottom stripe, draw another one for the mouth. On the strip for the eyes we put marks where the eyes will be located. The distance between the eyes should be approximately equal to the size of one eye. From the inner corners of the eyes we draw vertical lines down to the level of the nose, at these points the wings of the nose will end. Draw vertical lines from the middle of the eyes down to the line of the mouth. At the intersection of these lines, the corners of the mouth will be located.

Step 2. We draw an ear, eyebrows, eyes, a nose and a mouth. We slightly correct the shape of the head. Add hair. The ear is drawn from the level of the tip of the nose to the highest point of the eyebrow. Eyebrows are curved and thinner towards the outer edge. The eyes have perfectly round pupils and irises and are sure to have a glare. Eyelashes at this stage are not yet drawn. There is definitely a hole under the nose. The corners of the mouth are always thicker and darker than the line between the lips. When drawing teeth, do not press hard on the pencil, it is better to mark them with a thin light line so that the lines between the teeth do not look like gaps. Hair is drawn in smooth long lines in the direction of growth.

Step 3. Hatching of the face is usually done in this order - eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes, nose, mouth, skin (forehead, cheeks, chin, shoulders, etc.), ears, and then hair. At the same time, the darkest tones are superimposed first, then the lighter tones, the lightest areas and highlights are highlighted with an eraser. Try not to smudge the strokes, and if you want to blend them, in no case do it with your fingers! Alternatively, you can use cotton (ear) buds.

Step 4. As final touches, you can add freckles, moles, as well as jewelry, such as earrings. I hope you learned a lot from this tutorial!
