How to draw Santa Claus and Snow Maiden

Drawing lesson of the New Year, New Year's card. Now we will learn how to draw Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden together with a pencil in stages. Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden are integral characters of the New Year, not a single matinee passes without them.

There is such a New Year's card.

1. Sketching. We start with Santa Claus: draw a circle and guides (show the middle of the head and the location of the eyes), then a triangular-shaped sketch of a fur coat (the line inside is the middle of the body), the skeleton of the hands (the arm on the left is bent at the elbow and holds a stick, the arm on the right is simply lowered). On the right is the Snow Maiden, we also draw a circle (head) and guides, a coat, a skeleton of arms and legs (their location). The lines are applied very weakly so that they are barely visible.

2. Draw the face of Santa Claus. First draw the nose, then the eyes, mustache, mouth and eyebrows.

3. Draw a hat, a beard, a collar (we make it fluffy just in a zigzag pattern), a belt, hands, a mitten, then the middle of the fur coat and the bottom.

4. Draw the stick more voluminously, there will be a star on top of the stick. To do this, we make a cross, then a circle and there are already rays from it, between these rays we draw more rays, only of a smaller size, erase the circle inside the star and show the shine with dashes, as in the picture (marked 3). Next we draw the face of the Snow Maiden, for this we need to give the shape of the head, draw the eyes, nose, mouth and hair.

5. We draw a coat or a short fur coat, we start with a collar, then the middle of the clothes, then the bottom and the lines should be uneven to show fluffiness. Under the short fur coat is a skirt, it can be seen quite a bit. We draw the legs and show the knees. We draw such rays on the head, so that it would be convenient to draw a crown on the head of the Snow Maiden.

6. Now we connect every two straight lines on the head with a figure resembling a greater than (>) or less than (<) sign, only at different angles. Then repeat just a little lower. On each straight line we draw a small circle and a very small one. The bottom of the crown consists of beads, so draw small circles close to each other. Further we draw hands, sleeves, mittens and boots.

Erase all unnecessary lines and draw a bullfinch on the palm of the Snow Maiden. It is very small, so it does not require strong detailing.
