How to draw a plumeria flower with a pencil for beginners

Now we will draw a flower with a pencil that blooms on an exotic tree called plumeria. We need 2 soft pencils of different softness (I have 2 and 6B) and an eraser. The flower is very simple, does not require any knowledge of drawing techniques. On my sheet, it turned out to be small 8 by 8 cm, in the pictures it is significantly enlarged. On the whole A4 sheet I drew only rose, I’m exhausted, I won’t draw such large sizes anymore. So let's get started.

Step 1. Draw the plumeria flower itself. Click on the next picture, step by step: first we draw the upper petal, we do not completely draw one side, then each subsequent one clockwise.

Step 2. We draw rims on the edges of the plumeria petals on one side of each petal. After that, draw an asterisk in the middle.

Step 3. We paint over the asterisk with a less soft pencil (2B) and, slightly pressing on the pencil, paint over the petals a little from the middle of the flower, look at the picture. Then draw lines in the direction of the veins at the plumeria petals.

Step 4. We take a softer pencil (6B), make the star dark, outline the contours of the petals, paint over the petals from the middle, only the distance is smaller than in the previous step. We draw several lines in the direction of the plumeria petals.

Step 5. We take a piece of something soft (cotton wool, a napkin, etc.), you can use your finger and smear the lines inside the plumeria petals, try not to go to the wrapped edges of the plumeria.

Step 6. We take the eraser and erase the edge from the top of the petals to about the middle with such movements as you draw separate lines with a pencil. Then take a soft pencil and tint the petals from the middle, as in the picture.

Step 7. Again we smear. It looks great from afar, but not so close up close.
