Pistol piercing (also called "ear piercing"):

Piercing with a needle:

The needle is intended for single use in a sealed sterile package. This can be a hospital catheter or a needle blade. Designed specifically for piercings, it is sharper and therefore less painful.

The weapon uses earrings of standard length, often of poor quality. Needless to say, not all of us have earlobes of "standard" thickness. As a result, people with thicker earrings may find that their new earrings are too tight if the earlobes swell after piercing. It only causes irritation and leads to infection if left untreated.

The principle of the pistol is a little the same as that of the stapler. The instrument is relatively inaccurate, resulting in the piercing often being misplaced (asymmetrical), for example when trying to balance both ears.

The jeweler (or other merchant of the same type) does not have the skills, equipment, premises, or jewelry to perform piercings in good hygienic and sanitary conditions. Even if they use an antiseptic to disinfect the pistol, it doesn't guarantee a safe piercing.
