How to Prepare for Your Piercing Appointment

If you're reading this blog post, I'm guessing you're thinking about a new piercing! A new piercing is always accompanied by a feeling of excitement, but sometimes it can also be accompanied by some nervousness or anxiety. In this blog post, we'll walk you through how to prepare for your piercing and hopefully it will calm any nerves you may have about your upcoming piercing!

Choose a piercing for your lifestyle:

Different people suit different piercings, as well as clothing, hairstyle or any other aspect of the client's personal style! A great way to figure out which piercing you like best is to look for inspiration. Most clients turn to Instagram or Pinterest for piercing ideas, but we also offer virtual ears at www.pierced.co where our team will create an ear design for you based on your particular style and anatomy! Book a Virtual Ear consultation to see what ideas our team can bring to you!

In addition to personal style, you should also consider what you regularly do, which can affect future piercings. For example, if you normally wear in-ear headphones, perhaps choose an ear piercing on the outside of the helix that won't irritate your headphones. A straight helix, a flat helix, or a bottom helix can be a great option!

If you currently wear braces, you may want to opt for a non-oral piercing so that the jewelry doesn't snag or irritate you. Nostril, ear, or belly button piercings may not be right for you! These are just a couple of things to keep in mind when planning your look and will ultimately help you heal a happier piercing!

See what piercings we currently have to offer:

We can usually get almost any piercing done at our studios, but with the new Covid-19 regulations, we have a more limited selection of piercings we can get done to keep our team and clients safe! The rule of thumb we currently follow to comply with safety regulations is that we cannot perform a piercing that would require our client to remove their mask.

Now it's time to sign up!

Once you've decided on a piercing, it's time to make an appointment with a piercer. To make things easier, we have launched an online booking system that you can access to both our Newmarket Piercing Studio and Mississauga Piercing Studio. We require clients to leave a small deposit in advance, which will be included in the total price once the piercing is completed.

Before entering the studio:

We hope this blog post has helped ease your nerves regarding your future piercing. We can't wait to see you in the studio and please don't forget your face mask :).
