The holiday season is approaching. My daughter is looking forward to the moment when she throws her backpack on her shoulders and goes with the others on another hike in Poland. Until that time, however, she had already stocked her first-aid kit, which not so long ago brought a disrespectful smile to her face. Why did she change her mind?Crystal for clear water

When we went hiking together, kayaking together or climbing mountains together a few years ago, “Mala” was surprised to notice that I carry stones with me.

“Not some, but magic stones,” I explained.

"You see magic everywhere," she snorted dismissively.

Soon life proved that this is not just "some kind of magic." In the evening we stopped for the night in a mountain chalet. Before going to bed, they brought us jugs of water to wash in the morning. I threw in my pieces of rock crystal. In the morning my water in the bowl was crystal clear and Mala was slightly cloudy. While brushing my teeth, mine turned out to be much “tastier”. When asked how I did it, I took the stones out of the jug and put them in a separate bag.

A few days later, the daughter came screaming.

- I was stung by a wasp! There were tears in her eyes. We don't have half an onion to put on the wound.

“But we have something no less good,” I winked at her and applied the agate to the sore spot. Then I wrapped it in a bandage. By evening, there was no trace left of the bite.

The following year, my not-so-little daughter began to experience her first painful female ailments. Then I handed her a bag of red jasper. She carried it in her jeans pocket. That helped! During one of the trips, we had an unpleasant indigestion. Not that we are "dying" right now, but the feeling that day was not the most pleasant. Luckily, I had lemons and carnelian in my first aid kit. My daughter took one pebble, and I took the other.

Carried in a trouser pocket, they gently helped us while we frantically searched our minds for this unpleasant product with which we were suffocating. We then tried to identify the producer who was finally executed in our imagination. Of course, in an unusual way, by ordering him to eat a carload of food crap he produced.
