Eat happiness in… a salad

Today is International Day of Happiness. You can meditate on them on yourself, but you can also eat them! Try our fun Wiccan coleslaw.

This is a dish that is prepared at difficult times so that everything can be resolved without complications.


The main ingredient - cabbage - attracts good energies. According to ancient beliefs, it was in cabbage (and burdock) that the souls of newborn babies appeared - hence the tradition that babies are in cabbage. 

How to make a salad of happiness 

☛ Take a glass or ceramic bowl. At the bottom put a thin isosceles cross made of fennel seeds - a herb that has the power to ward off spells. In a dream, think: protect me and my loved ones from trouble and bad thoughts.  

☛  Then cut some white and red cabbage into thin strips (depending on how many salads you want to cook), put in another bowl and add grated carrots to them. 

☛ Pprepare the sauce. To about 200 g of mayonnaise, add half a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of sugar, a teaspoon of mustard, half a teaspoon of ground pepper and two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Mix thoroughly, all the while imagining how you want this dish to change the life of you and your loved ones. 

Now put the cabbage and carrots in a bowl of fennel seeds and pour over the sauce. While stirring with a wooden spoon, repeat 7 times: I am happy. Pacified. Safely. 

☛ Feel it. Pour that feeling into a dish.

☛ Now think about what happiness means to you. Ask for good energies to fill the salad. 

☛ Stop stirring and lightly tap the edge of the bowl with a spoon three times. Say so be it.
