Is the end of the world near?

The end of the world has been declared! Again!! One from 2012, from the Mayan calendar, was moved to fall 2017.

The end of the world has been declared! Again!! The one from 2012, from the Mayan calendar, was moved to autumn 2017 ... Are you afraid or not?

Apparently, the end of the world should take place this year, or rather on September 23! The announcement of this event will be “... a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet”, which will appear in the sky of the September night.

Fear the end of the world or not?

Astrology sees nothing extraordinary in 2017. The "woman dressed in the sun" could be a metaphor for the presence of the sun in the sign of Virgo, which is not unusual as it happens every year. True, it will be preceded by a blood moon tetrad, that is, four successive shadow lunar eclipses of past years. During them, the moon turns red, which portends the end of the world. But this also happens often, and the world still exists.

From an astrological point of view, rumors about the end of the world are somewhat exaggerated. But if a person wishes, he will find many terrifying signs appearing in the sky and on the earth. And, probably, many will believe him ...

Does time run or circulate?

“You have a watch, we have time,” say the Africans, amazed by our obsession with time. Primitive, ancient or oriental cultures don't care about death the way we do. The course of time and events is extremely important for us. The realization that something happened yesterday, a year ago, a century, several thousand years, still haunts us and scares us. We also worry about the future, even the far future when we are no longer there.

When did it start? One of the turning points in human history was the creation of the calendar. From that moment on, time began to be viewed as a sequence of successive events. Western (Judeo-Christian) civilization looks at history as a line: something has begun, something is happening now, until this day comes to an end. And the end will come.

This is a consequence of the teachings of the Old Testament. In their opinion, God created the world once, several thousand years ago. After some time, the Messiah came to the world - Christ, who, after his resurrection, ascended to heaven and must return again to fight in the decisive battle with the Devil, known as Armageddon. Then comes the thousand-year reign of Christ on earth, the last judgment and, finally, the end of the world.

Different currents of Christianity announce this return and the stages of the end of history in different ways. Thus, looking for "signs in the sky" is not only a sign of curiosity, but also a fear of the final outcome.

Will the world not end?

Primitive people understood time in a completely different way. They knew that the world had once come into existence and was changing. But history does not go from some point to zero and to an end point, as happens with Christians. She runs in a circle or in a spiral (Vedic culture). Something started, lasts, ends and starts again. Such is nature, such are the cycles of the planets, the epochs of mankind.

This is how the people of the East see world history. Nobody cares about dates, looking for signs of final doom, worrying about the big boom one day. People live calmer, focused on "today". Only western culture is in great tension, waiting for its end, like "The End" at the end of the movie!!

What does astrology say about the end of the world?

Astrology, firmly rooted in millenarianism, that is, in the belief in the thousand-year reign of Christ on earth before the end of the world, is consistent with the Bible here. And this one is saturated with astrological symbolism! Visions of lunar and solar eclipses, twelve stars under the feet of the Mother of God, a cross in the sky are the main arguments of every lover, frightening with the end of the world, usually not knowing that he speaks the language of astrology.

Yet astrologers, ancient and modern, speak of the end of the world with great restraint precisely because astrology is rooted in a mythological circular view of history. Even the famous clairvoyant Nostradamus, despite the fact that his centuries are written in apocalyptic language, did not write about the end of the world...

So let's not worry about unverified news, but let's rejoice at what each spring and each new day gives us. Let's not look at the clock, let's enjoy the time we've been given!!
