13th sign of the zodiac - the constellation Ophiuchus and the secret of Babylonian astrology

For several years now, rumors have reached us that the signs of the zodiac are not properly aligned. According to them, between November 30 and December 18, the Sun passes through one of the lesser known constellations of Ophiuchus. Will astrology as we know it today be upended by advances in technology and space exploration?

Before we are overwhelmed by the fear associated with shocking changes, and questions arise whether the astrology we all know is upside down, it is worth taking a closer look at this issue. This isn't the first time this zodiac maverick has made headlines in the news. As untrue as it may sound, all this space posting began a few years ago when a NASA article written specifically for children went around the world. According to the content and words of scientists, the thirteenth sign of the zodiac, called Ophiuchus, was omitted. According to their theory, it is located between Scorpio and Sagittarius, in the astrological circle of the zodiac. This means that the rest of the characters must be offset to be included. According to this conversion rate, we might have a completely different zodiac sign than before:

  • Capricorn: January 20 to February 16
  • Aquarius: February 17 to March 11
  • Pisces: March 12 to April 18.
  • Aries: April 19 to May 13
  • Taurus: May 14 to June 21
  • Gemini: June 22 to July 20
  • Cancer: July 21 to August 10
  • Leo: August 11 to September 16.
  • Virgo: September 17 to October 30.
  • Libra: November 31st to 23rd.
  • Scorpio: November 23rd to 29th
  • Ophiuchus: from November 30 to December 18.
  • Sagittarius: December 19 to January 20

The sign of Ophiuchus is not taken into account in practice, but nevertheless features, symbols and meanings are attributed to it. The thirteenth zodiac is depicted as a male snake charmer holding a reptile in one hand. Ophiuchus personifies courage and fearlessness, as well as great strength and stamina. People of this sign are open, show endless curiosity for the world and great passions, but are often very jealous. Other personality traits include a fantastic sense of humor, willingness to learn, and above average intelligence. Snake charmers are also attached to family life, they dream of a happy family and a home full of love.

Many theories have already been formulated about the absence of Ophiuchus in the zodiac circle. According to many years of research, this sign was deliberately omitted by the ancient Babylonians in order to equalize the number of signs with the number of months. It is also assumed that people who lived thousands of years ago simply made small errors in their observations, since the constellation Ophiuchus lies northwest of the center of the Milky Way, facing the amazingly distinct constellation of Orion. It is usually hidden from most of the world.

We must remember that the constellations are not the same as the signs of the zodiac. We will find many more of them in our skies, including the mysterious Ophiuchus. The signs of the zodiac are based on real constellations, so when looking at the stars we can easily see them, but not all of them, like the constellation Ophiuchus, are in the zodiac circle. Therefore, we do not need to worry that astrology as we know it today will change beyond recognition. The mysterious zodiac certainly does not call into question the validity of the twelve-sign system of the zodiac that astrologers have followed for thousands of years.

If Ophiuchus really became the thirteenth sign of the zodiac, it would be a mess in many theories and the lives of each of us. But we can be sure that this will not undermine the well-known astrology that we have used for centuries. Despite this, it is an extraordinary mystery and curiosity, it is also an unusual symbol that can have an additional effect on people born under its sign.
